Grace Theology Seminar

Daniel K. Davey

This course is designed to comprehensively study the concept of grace throughout the Old and New Testaments. In addition, it will seek to review several thinkers from church history who have contributed to our current understanding of grace. The course is intended for both MBS and MDIV students, and is designed to be highly interactive between the student and professor. Each class period will develop a specific topic germane to the subject of grace, and will be taught by a VBTS professor who specializes in that field of study.

As a result of taking this course, the student will be able to understand the definition and meaning of grace within the context of Scripture. This study will equip the student to properly evaluate the strengths and deficiencies of historic and contemporary definitions and applications of grace. Finally, the student will be able to formulate appropriate applications of grace which will impact his future ministry. 3 credit hours.
