As a result of taking this course, the student will be able to (1) recognize and recommend key literature pertinent to personal evangelism and global mission; (2) perform an evaluation of their personal evangelism strengths and weaknesses; (3) identify and communicate the key truths of the gospel in evangelistic conversations; (4) develop a biblical theology of mission that explains the biblical mandate and foundation for the church’s cross-cultural ministry; and (5) evaluate contemporary models and methods of cross-cultural ministry.
July 6–10 (Resident & Online)
As a result of taking this course, the student should be able to (1) define at least twenty key terms using an approved definition; (2) defend the doctrines of inspiration and inerrancy; (3) discuss the canonicity of the Old Testament; (4) describe the value of ancient Near Eastern background studies for the purpose of Old Testament interpretation; (5) articulate the contribution of archaeology to Old Testament studies; (6) differentiate the textual witness involved in the textual criticism of the Old Testament; (7) explain the role of higher criticism in the study of the Old Testament; (8) discuss matters of special introduction, such as authorship, dating, structure, and theme; and (9) describe the developments, trends, and tensions in the field of study.
August 3–7 (Resident)
As a result of reading, research, writing, presentation, peer review and class discussion, the student will be able to (1) analyze and evaluate legal issues relevant to their respective ministries; (2) articulate strategies for avoiding and/or resolving such legal issues; and (3) identify potential issues based on developing legal trends and create solutions for addressing those issues should they arise.

Advanced Theological Research Methods is a postgraduate (THM) research seminar which serves as the foundational element of the THM program. This seminar focuses on the development of compositional strategy, argumentation, and writing style appropriate for the THM thesis. The seminar culminates in the preparation of the Thesis Proposal.
Postgraduate Mentorship 1 is the first of two mentorships designed to prepare the student with particular skills appropriate to postgraduate study. Mentorships consist of meetings which provide personalized faculty oversight in the development of specialized student skills. This mentorship provides students with a supervised development of the Thesis Prospectus.
