FALL 2024 | 3 CREDIT HOURS | RESIDENT ONLY

Greek Exegesis of Galatians applies the steps of exegetical method to Paul’s letter to the Galatians. The course focuses on the Greek text and is designed to work through the letter’s grammar, syntax, structure, and argument. (3 hours)

Upon successful completion of the course assignments along with active class participation, students will be able to:

  • translate Paul’s letter to the Galatians with proficiency;
  • discern the organizational structure of the letter;
  • analyze the contribution of Galatians to the doctrine of justification, Paul’s view of the Mosaic Law and the role of the Holy Spirit for Christian living, and
  • compose an exegetical analysis of a selected portion of Galatians.
